PSP homebrew developer jfig111 has announced an updated release of Hot Mine Pursuit. Version 2.0 now has online high scores, accelerating mines, a disco soundtrack and health tablets.

The object of this Flash game is to avoid the mines for as long as you can. Your score goes as long as you're on the move, but the mines also get faster the longer you avoid them. When they touch you, your health goes down. Health tablets appear every 15 seconds.

PSP homebrew developer RainMotorsports has released Rain's Simple MMS Maker v1.0, an alternative to the popular PSP Pandora Deluxe program.

The difference is that MMS Maker doesn't require the .NET Framework as Pandora Deluxe does, and it's only one executable file.

What the program basically does is make your life easier when creating a Pandora Battery by prepping up your mem stick with the necessary programs. Here's what it does:

Buzz Junior is a new PSP Homebrew game from recoco, and modeled after the Buzz! franchise - or at least, the host of the game is. It's a trivia game in the stylings of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and is recoco's entry to Scenery Beta 2008.

Wii Shell v0.1 is a Wii-themed shell application for the PSP that allows you to run other files and PSP homebrew in a Wii System Menu environment. This release already allows you to launch .lua files, as well as other functions common to other PSP shells.

In a recent interview with Gamespot, John Koller talked much about the recently unveiled PSP-3000: the improved screen, microphone, bundled releases, and more. In that interview, he revealed that the battery life of the new PSP model will indeed be decreased by about 20 to 30 minutes.

Koller explains that this is because of "a larger power draw with the brighter screen." Aha, just as I expected. Well, "20 to 30 minutes" of a shorter battery life isn't that much of a drawback, ...

PSP homebrew developer luaacro has finally fixed his Mac OS X shell so that it hardly has any bugs in it now. The only noted problem in MACXT v4 is a couple of bugs in the Finder, but other than that, it's smooth sailing all the way.

Age of Nations v3

Coded in Lua, the goal of the game is to follow a predetermined path flashed at the start of each level. The player must then follow the same path through a grey and black grid once the highlighted squares disappears.

Considering this is a first attempt at a homebrew game, the program itself is well constructed and should provide players a quick distraction by going through all its levels.

Picture is a simple homebrew game from Mathfacts. Essentially, it's a Spot-the-Difference game with a more modern implementation on the PSP. Pretty cool, actually.

In a given picture there are eight differences hidden. Now after studying the picture well, press the square key and the modified picture will come out. There'll be a red square that you can move around for you to focus on the differences. Just press X to highlight the difference, and it will be marked by a yellow square.

Over at the Leipzig Games Convention, a new controller for the Xbox 360 has been spotted. Reports say that the redesign isn't all that substantial. No waggling components or some such. The change mostly lies in the D-Pad, supposedly making it more responsive than before.

PSP-3000 submitted to FCC for testing and approval

Did you think that the rumored PSP-3000 model was pure, unadulterated bunk? Well, think again. Sony has already sent a new PSP model marked PSP-3001 to the FCC for testing.

The FCC reports are dated July 7, with the testing dates listed as July 9 to July 16. According to Ask-wi.com, FCC certification usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks, so that part is pretty much done.

There's a lot of pretty technical stuff on the FCC reports and while there's no big "Pandora-proof" seal ...

Heads up, DJB has released version 1.0 of PSP Pandora Deluxe. In case you missed the previous release, this program preps up your PSP's mem stick to be used with the Pandora battery.

Note though, that it doesn't convert your battery to Pandora by itself, it just makes things simpler.

Basically the program formats your mem stick and installs several installers that will make your life easier when making a Pandora. Here's what's new in version 1.0:

It's here guys! Dark_AleX' latest update to his Despertar del Cementerio "Universal Bricker" has arrived, upping it to version 7. This one carries with it the ability to fully regenerate the IDStorage.
